The retailer hopes the winning product will rival the success of Firebox’s first big seller, its Shot Glass Chess set. Judges will include industry experts from the technology toy and product development industries. It wants entry ideas to be toys, gadgets or quirky gifts.
The Firebox Inventor competition will remain open to entries for six months. Firebox will then have the winning idea designed, manufactured and sold, with the contributor receiving a 50 per cent share of all profits from sales.
Firebox.com managing director Christian Robinson, managing director says, “At Firebox we are always on the look out for the latest in fun and innovation. We love introducing our customers to the newest quirky and original products before they hit the mass market. With Firebox Inventor, we want to encourage consumers to demonstrate their creativity and to tell us what they want. We are waiting with baited breath to see what they come up with.” The competition is being run in partnership with Stuff magazine. Thank you RB
